What to do if the updating of an iOS app stalls (iOS 6)

One-step solution

If you find that sometimes an app doesn't finish updating or installing and shows the partial blue progress bar stuck at a midway point, then here's what to do:

(1) tap on the app icon (on your homescreen) so that it begins installing again

What if I can't locate the app's icon because I have too many apps to find it?

(1) open the App Store app
(2) tap on 'Updates' tab at bottom of screen
(3) tap on the frozen app
(4) when the popover box with the app details opens, tap on the app icon inside this box
(5) this will take you away from the App Store app and to the app icon on your homescreen(s)
(6) click on the frozen app icon on your home screen (so that it begins installing)

What if none of this is working?

(1) open the Settings app
(2) tap General
(3) from General, select Usage
(4) you will see a list of your apps load at the top of the page
(5) locate your app and tap it
(6) press 'Delete App'
(7) return to the App Store and reinstall
